Hays Kansas derailment

As of today the UP has most of the track panels in place with ballast being dumped onto the sidings where the damage occurred. All of the wrecked equipment has been moved to the south side of the property. I was surprised to see some of the damaged cars being cut up already this morning.

It took about three weeks to get the crew to Guymon, Okla to start cutting up the grain hoppers. I noticed they are gone now after cutting up 5 of the 18 cars so am assuming they had other duties more pressing. They are quick and can get 1 1/2 cars a day if all goes well. Doubt that they are up at Hays as they left prior to that mishap.

Pictures with my phone with low light. The locos were moved over to the the south side of the UP property:

#1: Looking west. UP 6536 cab is on the left. UP 7276 in the middle. UP 6707 is hidding.

6707 has a chance to live, the others not so much.

How do you know the 6707 will be scrapped? it looks like minor damage on the font end

It's toast! I will try to get better pics. Also a UP manager told me so. Its much worse than my pictures show.
