I went over to Bergstrom (MP 186.6) for a hour and a half this morning. Caught four trains and heard a fifth one coming as I ran out of time and had to leave. First up was Amtrak #22. Photo was beyond repair so it's not included.

Next up was a "3-of-a-kind". A trio of SD70M's, all with flared radiators, heading up a NB Z-Train.

"4-of-a-kind" followed with a 95-car rock train out of Ogden with 4 Dash-9's. Patched CNW unit trailing 3 ex-SP units.

1. UP 3927 leading UP 3914 and 5033.
2. UP 9574, 9622, 9582 and 9696 with NB rock loads
3. ex-CNW 8632

The sun was playing hide-and-seek all the time I was there. Set the camera for a sunny shot and here came the clouds. And vice versa. So I'm sorry about shots not being the best.

Had to have a shot of HROX 001.

Last train was, I believe, ABESP. Only train of autoracks with a DPU. This concludes my poker hands with a pair of C45ACCTE's.

9696 reminds me of an old girlfriend in Nacogdoches .....

Glad they put 4 locos on the head end. More than once I have seen 3-units "laid down" after trying to pull a rock train up the grade north of the river. Then a southbounder at Sneed has to detach its locos and go down to help pull up the rock train.

Nice catch on the C&NW patch 9696, didn't know that there were any -9's still painted like that!
