VIVIAN, LA (KSLA) - There were no serious injuries as a result of a train collision and derailment involving two Kansas City Southern trains in North Caddo Parish Tuesday morning.

Bet they turn those inside cab cameras on now....

A rear-ender as we call them on the freeways. With one stopped and the other running intothe rear of another I wonder if that part of the line is signaled?

Seen the photo right now. That must of been a jarring experience. The other crew was puzzled and pissed that their air wouldn't come back.

All CTC controlled. KCS did lot upgrades on signal, ties and rail last year along the line.


I host railroad feed for this area and was able to replay yesterday morning feed. Had to much radio traffic so it missed quite bit, but 4125 was the leader and 4588 was the DP. Had couple other trains behind this one and dispatcher very calmly told all to stop quick as possible as have small problem just ahead of them.

Wonder if they had a carload of cardboard for a buffer?
