KCS is getting 25 SD70ACe's by the end of the year.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Southern has placed an order with Electro-Motive
Diesel for 25 SD70ACes. The locomotives will be delivered starting in late
November. Assembly of the order will be split between the U.S. and Mexico. EMD
will assign 13 locomotives to be built at Bombardier Transportation’s Sahagun,
Mexico, plant, while the remaining 12 will be constructed at Progress Rail’s
Muncie, Ind., facility. Road numbers for the new SD70ACe locomotives will be
Nos. 4131-4155.

The company already has 143 SD70Aces, including three of the four former EMD
demonstrator SD70ACes that were numbered EMDX Nos. 71-73. The three former
demonstrators now wear KCS Nos. 3997-3999.

Excellent. There are few things prettier to shoot than a fresh Belle.

The Diesel Shop says 3997-4129. Anyone wanna know why they'd skip over 4130?

Yes, the current SD70ACE fleet is numbered to 4139. The last order in 2011 was for 10 units numbered 4130-4139.

This capacity is from the cancelled CN order.

So will this KCS order be the first production units with individual axle control? I ask because the CN order was, and now these take their place instead

I suppose the 25 new ones are going to be KCS proper? Or do we know?
Will they have CN's red DPU lights?

To date, KCS and KCSM have not duplicated numbers. SP and subsidiary SSW numberings were like that, too, though KCS/KCSM have solid blocks of digits vs the SP numbering "system" of haphazardly dropping a few SSWs in the middle of the SPs.

Wish KCS would also cancel this order and get SD30ECOs instead! Cheaper and look ALOT better than ACEs!
