Seemingly EPA made small tweaks to help avoid inevitable legislative change.

Lots of producers that you just can't pull the rug out but changes seem inevitable and shows problems of trying to legislate markets.????

The US isn't using as much gas as projected so blenders need less ethanol while more was being forced upon them.

I said a couple months ago that the quickest way to become a multimillionaire, outside winning the lotto, would be to learn everything you can about the RIN market, head to Washington and register as a lobbyist and put a sign in the window "open for business"!!!!

Several of the big gasoline refiners also scooped up modern ethanol plants during the last wave of bankruptcies. In Valero's case, that gave them efficient plants for 25% of what it would have cost them to build new plants.

Much of what Congress and the White House is hearing is from independent refiners who find the gasoline refiners prefer to buy from their own ethanol units. The independents are a powerful force in places like Iowa (presidential primaries only 26 months away), Indiana (swing state), etc.
