Toto Tuesday: KP Curves
Author: nwkrailfan

Yesterday, while on an adventure out to the wilds of far western Kansas I ran across a eastbound loaded coal train. I shot the train just west of Monument, KS and proceeded west towards Winona. After a quick turn around I was once again pointed eastward and ended up running across the 6480 again just west of Collyer, Kansas. With nothing to do the rest of the day, I followed the coal drag back to Ellis...a good way to end my short trip!

1) UP 6480 starts uphill as the rear DPU starts into the sag just west of Monument, Kansas...in the background is the tiny town of Page City.
2) I found a new/interesting angle just west of Wakeeney and decided to wait for the 6480 to roll on east.
3) A not so new angle the 6480 rolls downhill towards the west end of Riga siding between Ogallah and Riga, KS.

Thanks for looking!

Composition on Photo No. 1 photo is outstanding. Nearly a perfect shot. Wish Mother Nature could have provided more fluffy white clouds.
