Author: alco636 I have seen that on BN's SD9's they used at their Northtown hump near Minneapolis, MN. I have been told the hump sets were, and still are, radio controlled. A engineer runs the set to the cut to be humped. After that, the hump tower takes over. The engineer is just along for the ride. So I am pretty sure it is the anntenna for the remote control hump feature. I could be wrong.
