On the local Tyler news last night they interviewed a police officer who quoted the woman driver
saying she heard and felt something wrong, but by the time she stopped it was too late.

Ya think ?

What normally happens is when the truck is halfway under neath, the bridge usually says 'muah ah ahhh!!!' and lowers itself onto the top of the truck...

So how you call yourself a "professional driver" if you can't even be bothered to know how tall your rig is.

Driver went through the dip under the bridge and the length of the trailer spanning the dip raised it up and into the bridge. Angle of attack makes all the difference. Draw it out on paper.

Maybe she should have known a 13'6" trailer won't fit under a 12' bridge. Her GPS probably sent her that way. Ya just can't fix stupid.

I would hardly call a driver for Schneider National, or JB Hunt, a professional. Most barely know how to make the truck go forward.

Yeah!!A friend of mine was driving on an interstate and saw a J.B. Hunt truck pulled over and asked him on the CB,"Hey JB you out of fuel?? The JB driver replied " No I'm out of Lowell" !!
(J.B. Hunt is based in Lowell Arkansas)

I was pulling a 18' utility trailer with my pickup. I was returning it to a business yard and where they wanted it was as close to the left gate as possible. (When looking at the driveway from the street.) OK, no problem, blind side back it in and got it about a foot away from the gate. In the mean time, there was a JB Hunt truck getting loaded in the yard. The driver stood there watching me.

Actual conversation:

JB Hunt: Wow, you got it backed in there perfect and made it look easy.
ME: Well, I used to be a professional truck driver.
JB Hunt: <SIGH> Huh, I guess I am not a professional truck driver then.
ME: I just smiled and shrugged my shoulders.
