Out of the dark at Sabula, Iowa
Author: robj

Sabula is an "Island city" as it calls itself that is across from Savanna, ILL. Here the Canadian Pacific line from Chicago splits west to KC and north to St. Paul(actual wye is directly west). Pleasant place as their is with the Miss. River on one side and lagoons on the other. The area is full of pelicans, egrets and herons in the summer. The CP crosses the lagoons on a causeway and then the River on a swing bridge.

Above the CP KC to Chicago train is approaching the swing bridge eastward on the island on 2/2/2013 illuminated by a few street lights.
