Monolith Meet
Author: P5r24

Timing is everything and some days
you get lucky.

A northbound U.P. Manifest freight
meets a southbound BNFS Manifest freight
at the Edison X-ing west Monolith,Ca.

This video is a little long but,
the cool DPU ending is well worth watching all
the different freight cars on both trains.

Wow! Watching those trains moving fast makes your eyes blur! Nice catch on the Illinois Central "heritage unit" as well as the perfectly timed DPUs.

Kind of weird how the DPU's meet at the crossing.

Nice! So how many run-bys of each train did you have to do to nail that ending? ;)

Fabulous! Was that video taken through your sunroof? Does anyone know how often the local switches out the loaded hoppers from Monolith?

I shot this from the bed of my pickup truck.

Crazy action, you can't plan that! Quick reaction there to get it all. I like the two trains passing at the crossing!
