Spring Has Sprung - Two days along the CP Rail
Author: rrartist

Thursday promised a cloudy day, however the sun graced me about two hours whereas I was able to capture at Bangor WI , CP train 330 with an all CSXT consist, CSXT 8524 leading the way. It was followed by CP train G68, CP 2201. By the time CP train H20, CP 5013 rolled through Homer MN the clouds decided to takeover.

I decided to go back to Dakota MN for another dose of H20 and the CP 5013. CP train 280, CP 8911 snaked into Dakota shortly after H20 passed only to meet CP train 199, CP 9376 at River Junction, a few miles further south. The gray skies were still hanging around as CP train 484 arrived in La Crosse behind the BNSF 9032. Things were starting to brighten up!

Today's CP train H20 was running as the DME 6050 / CP 5677 which was captured on the curves at Donehower MN and again at Dresbach MN. Amtrak #8 was a tad tardy as the Builder marched through Dakota MN behind the #78.

CP train 281 was up next with the PAC-MAN SD40-2 6016 leading the ICE 6444 and healthy train into Dakota MN. UP train LT42 (Winona MN - Adams WI) rolls into Dakota MN behind a recent UP rebuild, SD40-2 1829. This train was followed by CP train 800 with the CP 8521.

CP train 289 meanders through the Donehower Siding behind the CP 8754, they were meeting CP train 280 which ends my report. DME 6052 leads two NS motors past Dakota MN while a towboat pushes a string barges towards to the Twin Cities. Yes sir, Spring has sprung!
