Western Railroad Discussion > Tehachapi Aerial PhotographyDate: 04/20/14 14:32 Tehachapi Aerial Photography Author: cinder I plan to make my biennial Tehachapi railfan trip April 30-May 3. As with recent trips, I plan a photo flight covering Caliente to Tehachapi, chartering a plane and pilot. What work windows might I encounter between Wed., Apr 30 and Sat, May 3?
The two aerials below were taken in May 2012. Date: 04/20/14 14:55 Re: Tehachapi Aerial Photography Author: gjc Do you have room for another person?:-) Nice pics!

One of the two (at least there used to be two) field in Tehachapi?

JB Date: 04/21/14 08:58 Re: Tehachapi Aerial Photography Author: SandPatch1 Having just come from the Toledo R/C show, 2 companies selling drones, surely gave a indication of the next level of photography, without having to buy a Cessna or Blackhawk. One company had the work around the old PW steel plant in Wheeling..
It is really advancing faster than one can imagine. I saw the Steve Neff reshoot of the Big 4 line thru Indy with some Drone stuff Steve did and it really makes one want to go back out and reshoot some of the angles from above. dj |
