Spring Break on the Seligman Subdivision
Author: slug96

Over spring break, my family and I made the trip to Flagstaff, AZ to go visit Northern Arizona University. Of course, we stopped to photograph trains on the way out there. The amount of lease power was nice and there was a steady flow of train everyday. The four day trip was excellent. Also, after visiting the campus of NAU, I am 90% sure I will become a Lumberjack in the fall of 2014.

1: A H BARKCK (Barstow, CA to Kansas City, KS high priority manifest) charges through Kingman Canyon on the BNSF Seligman Subdivision with an interesting lash up of NS, KCS and CREX (former SOO Line).
2: Two General Electric locomotives shove over 9,000 feet of double stack cars across the Seligman Subdivision at Crookton on a Los Angeles, CA to Chicago, IL stack train.
3: A westbound auto train charges west through Williams with the San Fransisco peaks in the background.

4: A BARBEL charges east out of the sag at Darling as a westbound grain train is seen in the background battling the Arizona Divide.
5: With a westbound Z train rolling west, an empty grain shuttle races down the Arizona Divide at Canyon Diablo.
6: A Z WSPPHX6 moves west to Flagstaff at Canyon Diablo with thunderstorms in the background.

7: An eastbound intermodal train, bound for Atlanta, GA, battles the grade of Kingman Canyon as it corsses over the famous ATSF bridges that are found along the Seligman Subdivision.
8: A pair of GEVOs pull an eastbound stack train through Kingman Canyon.
9: An empty ethanol train rolls east through downtown Kingman.

Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed my photos!

Very nice collection of images! What's really interesting about the 1st shot is that the train is running against the normal flow of traffic. Traffic is normally WB on main 1.
