A Few From The Last Week

The last week or so has necessitated trips to different areas around KC on multiple occasions, for different trains and locomotives and happenings. I've shared a few of those trips, so these photos are just the odds n' ends that didn't fit into those other threads.

4/13

1. AMTK 4 with 5 private cars moves right along through Henrietta, MO during a snow/sleet squall
2. A going away shot, complete with a nicely-lit drum head on the last car
3. AMTK NPCU 406 leads train 314, combined with the display train, at Knob Knoster, MO

4/17

4. Passing through Floyd, MO, a stack train slows for a slot over the ATSF-era single track bridge at Sibley,
5. An 'artsy' shot of the sunrise at MP 420.7, Floyd
6. Another stack train rolls under the MO Rte. H bridge at Henrietta minutes after sunrise

7. A going away view of the stack train, passing the ATSF depot in town, as the sun begins to burn off the fog from the night before
8. An oil train rolls through CA Jct, splitting the soon-to-be-replaced ATSF Searchlights
9. Following suit, a ratty looking 'peachbonnet' Dash-9 points a manifest train towards Galesburg

10. AMTK 145 leads train 4 about 15 minutes behind the manifest train
11. Another stack train rolls under the Rte. H bridge - It was eerie to feel the bridge shake as the train passed under!
12. Riding the yellows from 2 ahead, more stacks round the corner at Fleming, MO

13 & 14. A Q train crosses the steam-era Missouri River Bridge at Sibley, MO
15. The same train as seen above passes over a county road just West of Floyd

16. With less than stellar lighting, NS 21T passes some budding spring trees at Orrick, MO
17. Thank you BNSF Power Desk! A BNSF train headed for Galesburg is seen at S. Liberty, MO with the following power; BNSF SD75I, BNSF C44-9W, CSXT ES40DC, CSXT CW44AC, IC SD70 & CP AC4400 - As evidenced here, no, there is absolutely zero variety on the BNSF in 2014...

4/21 starts with photo 20

19. A going away shot of the consist from above
20. AMTK 316 rolls past a full platform for its station stop at Lee's Summit, MO
21. After AMTK cleared CP M260, local train LSJ69 21 got 'a light' to head West into Kansas City, passing me with a hefty 3 loads and train length of 398 feet...

That is for the power generating station at Sibley.
