Cima Sub-Jean, NV mile post 304 and 305
Author: gjc

Train 1-West bound stack train at Jean mp 304 around 8am, 4/12/14. It was a very windy morning. I was able to find a spot/cubby hole on the hill that was blocking the wind. Unfortunately, this spot doesn't allow you to view the tracks/landscape to the west.

Train 2-East bound manifest at Jean mp 305 around 5pm, 4/12/14. Thankfully no more wind.

Nice video and locations. I enjoy traveling through this area a lot.

Wondering if you happened to notice the reporting marks on either of the black container flat cars eight/nine cars from the end? Thinking this might make an interesting model. Thank you.

You can see the Ivanpah Solar Generation plant in the westbound scenes. The top of the heliostat is that bright sun like thingy above the hill.

Here's what it looks like from Ivanpah.

We could see those from a jet far to the south over Needles. Very bright, easy to pick out.
