BTW, my grandfather was SP's City Ticket Agent at Pasadena, CA for many years until his retirement. I remember very well the beautiful black and gold-leaf SP logos on the windows of his office, located at Arroyo Parkway and Colorado Blvds. Maybe some of you remember. Unfortunately Grandpa passed away too early and I was too young to talk railroading with him. Long after Grandpa was gone and the office had closed those beautiful logos remained. I often wished I could just cut out those windows and preserve them. At that time the goal in Pasadena was "modernization" and a lot of historic structures, including Grandpa's office, fell to the wrecking ball.
