Western Railroad Discussion > BNSF Detour through Mt. Shasta in the morning lightDate: 07/23/14 10:40 BNSF Detour through Mt. Shasta in the morning light Author: RyanWilkerson It's not everyday the BNSF runs trains through Dunsmuir but the last 24 hours has seen a pair of them. This one came through at just the right time and dodged the heavy cloud cover. Castle Crags can been seen in the background.

Gary Posted from iPhone Date: 07/23/14 13:19 Re: BNSF Detour through Mt. Shasta in the morning light Author: RyanWilkerson Thanks guys! If the train would have been 2 minutes earlier or 1 minute later it wouldn't have worked. I was very grateful for the small fast-moving opening in the clouds that made this possible. It's been a long time since I've seen 6 motors on a NB train through here. Great way to start the day.
BTW, I'm just doing my part to hold down the fort while PhotoBob is out of town. :-) Ryan Wilkerson Fair Oaks, CA Date: 07/23/14 13:43 Re: BNSF Detour through Mt. Shasta in the morning light Author: Cajon92 Great shot, Ryan.

Will it happen? Only time will tell! Date: 07/24/14 08:45 Re: BNSF Detour through Mt. Shasta in the morning light Author: RyanWilkerson portlander Wrote:

Maybe it'll make it up here with plenty of daylight :-) Would be nice if it had the RVT 2909 with it. Ryan Wilkerson Fair Oaks, CA Date: 07/24/14 09:06 Re: BNSF Detour through Mt.
