UP WP 1983 Fire Damage

The UP Western Pacific #1983 heritage unit had fuel injector fire a couple days ago, and according to a friend's photo on Facebook, there is somewhat major fire damage on the conductor's side of the engine. The WP logo on the conductor's side is mostly destroyed.

This is true. The side with the burnt area destroyed about half the Western Pacific sign. I'll try to get photos of that side later. I included two of my photos of the undamaged side as the train came into North Little Rock today, July 28 at 12:41 p.m.
