Hot and Muggy Today with Work Window on BNSF
Author: Ritzville

Today was Hot and muggy in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub at 98 degrees with the monsoonal flow from the Southwest. Today was errand day in Cheney, WA, no trains due to work window. Nothing running on the UP, probably due to derailment on the Ayer Sub. Here are some of the trains from last evening an a couple from today. While in Sprague, WA missed a good looking warbonnet and NS consist.

1. EB 504pm "Q" train with BNSF 6717-4689 on the point.
2. EB 532pm 20 car garbage train with BNSF 7737 on the pull.
3. Another shot of same train.

That garbage train is a perfect train for BNSF 7737!!!!

The red & white loco is BNSF 168, a GP60 in Vermont Railway paint (red). It is the only one painted this way and could have been renumbered 198 (its new number) but I cannot tell on your photo.

15. EB 522pm "Q" train with BNSF 937 and NS 2577 on the point.
16. Another shot of same train.
17. EB 539pm oil train with BNSF 6024-4811 on the pull with DPU.

That's it for now, but traffic is picking up now, should be a busy weekend. Have a great weekend, try and stay cool!

Thank you for your interesting information. I wish there had been more light, hope to see it again. I take it BNSF 7737 is a clunker, LOL, I've been in many of those.
