An old soldier on a hot "Z"
Author: PALuvR

I made a quick run over to Manchaca MP 190 on the UP Austin Sub noon-ish today. Only got 2 trains but one had somewhat interesting power.

1. NB "Z" at MP 190 on the Austin Sub, powered by GE's with a significant age difference.
2-3. C40-8 of 1988 vintage. Is this the oldest class of GE's still running on the UP?

The "Z" was preceded by a loaded rock train which was sent into the hole at Bergstrom to let it run around. Power was 3 Dash-9's: ex-CNW, UP and ex-SP.

I appreciate y'all taking a look.

Mike

Great catches Mike!

UP 7925: ZMXYC-28
UP 9762: RBXMTE-28 (Rock-Dittlinger, TX-Mont Belvieu, TX) Somewhat of a strange symbol with BX for Dittlinger and not really sure what the last E stands for either!
