BNSF Powder River Basin
Author: mearsksealand

On another group it has been mentioned that the BNSF is backed up in the Powder River with loaded trains not moving

Anyone have any additional info?

This is the new normal for BNSF. If they aren't melting down in the PNW, they are somewhere else.

A broken rail or knuckle on Crawford Hill can back things up to Gillette.

Is it true the meltdown is in Stinkin' Lincoln and nearly every siding west of the Lincoln to the PRB is filled with a train?

With UP's paltry take over of the dispatching of the Alameda Corridor in Los Angeles County, there are now more stack trains parked on the Southern transcon than ever before. This isn't a localized problem.

Keep in mind that the Ports of LGB and La are having their problems---piers are operating at almost capacity---chassis problems just to name one
