Union Pacific's Boy Scout lettered engine, UP 2010 is on the point of the MWCNP-18 (Manifest-W. Colton-N. Platte) that has 91 loads, 144 empties-16,598 tons-14,972'

It shows running over 24 hours late and looks like it is dead or stuck once again in Wyoming. I wonder how much they really are saving in crew costs?

Consist is the UP 2010, 4217, 7818 and 9239 with mid-train DPU 8645. 4 X 1 X FRED. The 9239 is dead, bad-ordered.

I thought so as at breakfast yesterday I saw a pair of SD40-2's pulling 4-5 ballast cars and three flats of panel rails.

With a train that long the front end could be moving 5 miles down the main while the rear end is sitting in the yard.

Dont quote me, but i believe it left colton with 122 Cars roughly 9100'. Must have picked up more somewhere.

Picked up cars at Milford and Salt Lake City.
