NS Savannah & Atlanta Heritage SD70ACe #1065 was the lead unit on today’s UP Memphis to LA baretable. Sadly, the train was coming out of the sun for its early-morning trip on the Sunset Route through San Timoteo Canyon and the Alhambra Sub into LA which made for less than desirable photographic opportunities.

Bummer it ran into down Beaumont Hill and into Colton at the wrong time of day:{ Still a Great catch and I really like that second picture.

The second shot is really nice, regardless of the time of day it came through.

Good work Gary. Glad you covered it. Let's hope next time one of these things comes out here it's at a better time of day!
