Commuting to work, and watching trains 5
Author: alco636

I recently switched jobs with my company. Resulting in much better amounts of personal time. I just work 40 hours a week now. No more 50+ hours every week. I switched to a job site in downtown Minneapolis, and I get to do some foaming on the way in. In the past four weeks I've biked just under 238 miles total while commuting. Anyone else here commute with their bicycle? Or shoot photos on their way to or from work? All photos shot in Minneapolis, MN. Here's a few recent images.

#1 A very late Amtrak #8, the eastbound Empire Builder on 10.6.2014. Due into St. Paul Union Depot at 7:46am, she's rolling through the BNSF Northtown Yard here at 3:09pm.

#2 BNSF MOW truck is moving around, switching cars. BNSF Northtown Yard 10.15.2014. Caught the beacon flash the moment it went off.

#3 Former Soo Line SD60s, now CITX 6017 and 6001 are leading an eastbound BNSF train on 10.15.2014. A beautiful October day.

You still going to be riding that bike to work when the white stuff starts flying? ;-)

I have in the past! My old mountain bike to too rusty. So I think I'll be done when the snow stays. It's a 1/2 block walk to the bus...

Thanks guys! A bit of luck catching two leading. I sure do enjoy those SD60s. Nice change from the regular power.
