Western Railroad Discussion > Cherokee sub varietyDate: 10/20/14 13:11 Cherokee sub variety Author: TTownTrains Three consecutive BNSF westbound trains on the Cherokee sub in northeast Oklahoma provided a nice bit of variety this morning. Out of 8 units, only 2 were orange. *likes
1. Westbound number one negotiates the switch at East Verdigris 403 miles west of St. Louis. It's a CSX CW44AH sandwiched in between a BNSF ES44AC and a Dash 9. 2. Westbound number two passes Pixley Lumber in downtown Claremore, OK with a pair of faded ex-Santa Fe red and silver Dash 9s. 3. On the east side of Claremore, westbound number three sports another former Santa Fe red and silver on the point, this time an SD75M. A pair of CN ES44s round out this non-orange consist. I hope your day has variety, too. Bill Gillfillan Tulsa, OK Date: 10/20/14 16:55 Re: Cherokee sub variety Author: BNSF-6432 Nice day east of town!
