Tillamook area
Author: britchie

On an RV trip down the Oregon coast last week. Thiis stuff was sitting around, the 101 had been out on the line the day before. There was also a fall foliage train running from Wheeler but missed it by 1/2 an hour.

Thanks for the update. It is nice to know the cow unit and the F survive.

Really? Does the POTB still move freight, or does the cow unit work on the heritage passenger railroad up there? There's no connection from the POTB to the outside world anymore, so it would be strange if freight still moved on the 20 or something isolated miles of track they've got there.

Believe you have answered your own inquiry...but..no..there is no freight business on the POTB...only the excursion operation on the coast.

Yes it's kind of sad. Last time I was there there were SD's moving freight.

Great to see so much rail activity on this isolated line. Can't wait til they reach Enright!

Be nice to see the state get off their ass about putting rock back in the river
that came out of the river in the first place!
