This afternoon's curiosity trip to the Abq depot revealed a short Amtrak train...P42 76 and two NEC-type 'tube' coaches parked on 5 Track, and three SL&RG passenger cars...Pullmans Colorado Pines and New Orleans, split by full-length dome Prairie View on 4 Track, on their way to Chicago via tomorrow's (Thursday) #4.
The short consist is a 'training run', per a young Amtrak carman awaiting #3's imminent arrival.
About a dozen safety-vested folks then left Extra 76 East, walking toward the depot and disappeared somewhere.
