I-5 Corridor Trip, August 2011
Author: ktm-450

First shot is an SB manifest shot just up from Hotlum, CA at the Dry Canyon Trestle.

2nd shot is an SB H-PASBAR passing Kirk, OR about 7 miles north of Chiloquin.

3rd shot is the DPU's of a long SB manifest passing Grass Lake Summit, CA with Mt Shasta looming in the distance. Note the ex- CNW unit.

Looks kinda green for August, but then I spotted the year.

Beautiful photos, particularly shot #3! (It's why they call it the "Shasta Route...") Thanks for sharing...

Thanks guys! Yeah it was a fun trip, here's a few more, first is another BNSF SB crossing the Williamson River at Kirk, OR.

2nd shot is a UP 7666, or the lucky devil, as I've heard others say, lead an SB manifest at the Hooker Creek Road crossing, just south of Draper Siding.

The second to last with the train reflection in the water is extremely well composed--love it.
