Over the years, the Cal Northern has had numerous EMD products, first with GP-15-T, SP-SD-40's and 45's, UP SD-40's, Occasionally E-44's, and most recently rebuilt SD-59''s (9900 class). UP has a power shortage and un-rebuiltSD-0's have returned to the LRD90 out of Roseville which runs through to Lombard and Napa Jct. Here is the Cal-Northern Lombard turn at MP 54 at Cordelia yesterday on its westbound trip to Jameison Canyon. The first half of the train are refers for wine loading and the last half of the train is for the NWP consisting of inbound feed and grain and concrete ties.

Here are the units 3 miles west at MP 51 switching propane tankers at Sheldon Oil Co. The final shot is the NWP Sprint Train at Cordelia in 1990 just before SP shortlined the branch to David Parkinson and Cal Northern.

WHEN DOES THIS TRAIN USUALLY LEAVE ROSEVILLE AND ARIVE AT THE CAL-NOR INTERCHANGE(SUISUN-FAIRFIELD)? DOES IT ALSO HANDLE CAL-NOR TRAFFIC INTERCHANGED AT DAVIS? THANKS.

Take the capital letters out and it makes it much easier to read.

The LRJ90 actually originates at suisun Monday thru Saturday around 9:00 PM and returns from roseville anytime after midnight; and yes it does handle interchange traffic at Davis as needed.
