Nice stuff. Obviously the signal shot is a winner, but I also like #2 a lot. For some reason a baretable actually looks pretty good there!

Confirmation is in hand now in the form of UP track bulletin form C 25158 that the signal bridge at milepost 377 is being removed from service and coming down on 11/17/14 (next Monday). Likely this will include the other searchlights from Warren to South Mojave as well. Also noted is the fact that the number plates for some of the signals on the signal bridge have come off and are not going to be replaced account the signals are about to be removed from service, but it is still to be treated as an intermediate signal. Get your pictures now.

Really unique perspective through Cache Creek, I've always hurried through there on my way west to Monolith, Tehachapi and the rest. Thanks for hiking up there. Years ago now, probably mid '80's there were Darrieus or Egg Beater type wind generators up there. Eventually they were removed probably after failures. Any sign of pads or access roads? Also, I have often thought of either boating or motorcycling to get unique perspectives or rare views. Now with drone foaming, great new possibilities are opening up.
