New Bridge replacement on Mendota Sub

The BNSF Mendota Sub will be closed from 5:00AM Sat to Mon at 5:00 AM for bridge replacement. Early Sat morn at 7:00 AM finds work has begun in picture one. In picture 2 and 3 both approaches have disappeared before sunset. One employee said the work maybe done beforethe Monday morning projection

I know the BNSF Mendota Sub extends from Aurora to Galesburg, Illinois, but where specifically is this bridge?

I guess this means a Amtrak reroute over the old Santa Fe line?

Between Princeton and Wyanet IL. The one bridge can be observed from I-80. I believe they're replacing both high level bridges. Dan

The bridge in the photo is about a mile east of Wyanet. The one next to I-80 is about a mile west of Princeton.

The old bridges were restricted to 10 mph for high tonnage cars in a train.

There are 2 trestles one at wyanett is done next along 80 and there is one bridge as well. The bridge I think is across a creek.
