BNSF 616 "C4" AC Conversion
Author: qnyla

Is the BNSF 616, the C44-9W unit converted to AC traction with ES44C4 like A-1-A trucks out running on the BNSF? The last information I had was after testing on Raton it was headed for emissions testing at SWRI in San Antonio.

Not sure what it was up to, but I saw it about 2 months ago at the diesel shop at UP's Neff Yard in Kansas City.
