Amtrak's Ph. III Cabbage & Western Auto in KC
Author: bnsfsd70

Well, thanks to the beginning of a LOOONG weekend, I finally got around to shooting Amtrak's Phase III Cabbage #406 on the Mule last night. Due to the platform work at the depot, one of the tracks is out of service, forcing this train to be parked way at the end of the platform. Bad for passengers, GREAT for railfans.

Oh yeah, I know that. But just like you'll never hear me referring to the Willis Tower or US Cellular Field in Chicago, this train will forever be the Mule to me. A name like that needs to live on!

Wonderful, crystal clear shot that is refreshing. Thanks for posting. I have loved that Western Auto building for ove half a century.

Thanks, Bruce. I'd like to personally thank the approaching eastbound UP coal load for lighting up the foreground for me in this one. I took a bunch of other shots, but they just don't look as good as this one.
