Do you mean "Mexico, north to Canada?" Or is it coming from North Mexico?

I haven't heard anything about this. Both Grain and Potash tend to move from Canada to Mexico via ship as rates are lower. Some carload freight and automobiles do move, but no solid trainloads. In any case a there is no "Open Access" in the USA so any train that originates in Mexico bound for Canada would be handed off to a US Railroad for movement in the US and then a Canadian Railroad for movement in Canada. Likely someone saw a train powered by Ferromex locomotives in the US and jumped to conclusions.

There's no "Open Access" in Canada either.

When the Mexicans still owned it California was called Alta California, i.e. Upper California.

They've just about re-claimed it.

So much for the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.

I call BS on that one! Illegals were ubiquitous during the Bush years, too.

Republicans want low wage workers for their small businesses. Democrats want reliable voters. So don't expect either party to do anything but make them legal over time, regardless of what they say.

Anyway, CSX Q131 and Q132 travel between Mexico to Detroit over UP and CSX. UP symbols are ZDTMX and ZMXDT. I don't know which Mexican road they use. Detroit is a stone's throw from Canada, as I am sure you know. So there ya go.

Btw, we are a nation of 315 million+, with a huge, diverse economy of over 16 trillion annual dollars. There is plenty of wealth for all who earn it. One man doesn't control your life, even if he occupies the White House.

UP ran trains up from their Mexican connections with Ford / Mazda transmissions for decades. Hitachi, etc makes electrical assemblies for most car makers in Mexico, and ships them to the US by rail.

No reason why they wouldn't ship them through the US and into Canadian auto plants

Q131 and Q132 are Pacer Stack Trains full of auto parts. L132 has auto racks, too.

Not to mention the fact that almost every single white American is descended at the least partly from European immigrants (Irish, English, German, Polish, Russian, French, Swiss, Hungarian, etc.).

I would think that even KCS has to switch crews at the Mexican/US border, same for CN/CP at the Canadian crossings (as others have already noted).
