last few 2014 Joint Line . . .
Author: 3rdswitch

. . . ending a review of the great year it was along the joint UP BNSF Denver Pueblo Joint Line main;
top: A northbound BNSF manifest train derailed on the number two main at the crossing in Sedalia in April due to a locked axle on the trainlin MAC in the consist.
middle: A wondering CSX MAC ended up leading a baretable train south a mile south of Monument siding.
bottom: A late May snow fell as a pair of CREX leasors were working in helper service returning to Big Lift after helping a coal load south.
. . . two more . . .

. . .
top: With a hundred CP units on lease they were bound to end up leading as this one lead a solid JB Hunt empty container train throught the siding at Monument.
middle: Quite a few new units were received by BNSF this year but the 8100's were very rare on the Joint Line as this one was leading a southbound at the "sag" a couple miles north of Palmer Lake.
bottoom: The twice a week BNSF Pikes Peak Local also continued to offer variety as it was climbing north toward Palmer Lake.
Thanks for looking back, it has truly been a good year along the Joint Line.
JB

Really nice selection JB. #3 really sets the mood for the winter season even though it was a spring snow.

Saved the best for last! Great to see the SD45-2 model still out there running. Also very unusual to see Autoracks on the local!
