A four car BNSF Inspection Train made its way around Chicago over various routes January 27th and 28th. Starting at Streator IL on the Chillicothe SD, the train operated across the Norfolk Southern's Kankakee Line to Gibson IN, then via the IHB and CP to Bensenville. Today, the train resumed operation from Bensenville to Cragin Jct. on CP, then across the Belt Railway of Chicago to South Chicago (CP 509), the NS Chicago Line to CP 502 (Indiana Harbor), the IHB to Dolton (CP Grove) and finally CSX (B&OCT) from Dolton to the BNSF at Cicero. The short streamliner then departed via the BNSF Chicago SD for Galesburg and west. Here are some views captured over the two days the train was in and around town.
