Gosh...will that effect the recovery'?

First I've heard of this. Maybe I should go back to Norway were the price of gas and diesel is heavily taxed which makes a Tesla the same cost as a conventional car.

The situation should be interesting to watch. Stockpiles of oil and gasoline are at uncommonly high levels, so there would be pressure on the system almost immediately.

The President could issue a few more export licenses for condensate, which would immediately have an impact in moving the crude. But this would have an immediate impact on railroaders handling the 60-70 crude oil trains which are started each day. The refiners take as much as they can store, then lock the gates.

Most of the plants aren't going to shut down. The supervision and technical staff will take over, most units will be backed off some on capacity to a sweet spot and production wise things go on. What it really means is projects get slowed down, and other non critical things pile up to work later. Relationships between people go bad and it takes awhile to recover if ever in some cases.
