Photo 2 - Early on a cloudy 2-19 morning, an EMD ACe leads another coal empty detour over the Cache La Poudre River in Fort Collins, CO. Photo 3 - Later that same day, the Longmont Local with a brace of old SD40-2's crosses the Cache La Poudre River southbound at Fort Collins, CO after turning at North Yard. There's mooore... Colo, meet, MTY, Local, vessels, baby wings Author: highgreengraphics Photo 4 - Today, a high/wide Special J PTNEFV9 21 from Houston, TX to EFV, wherever that is, with tank vessels came through Fort Collins northbound, here it is rolling past N. Yard in Fort Collins, CO. Colo, meet, MTY, Local, vessels, baby wings Author: highgreengraphics Photo 10 - Finally, after waiting a couple of months, the LaSalle - Fort Collins UP Local showed up with the rebuilt SD40-2 baby winged snoot on the end of the locomotive consist, but it arrived into Fort Collins later than usual. Here it is leading the heavy 4-unit consist shoving loaded cement hoppers up the grade from Boettcher into the Holcim Cement Plant north of LaPorte, CO. Unfortunately, even with the snow on the ground, it was warm enough that the front door was left open, which is not as big of a problem on a conventional cab as it would be on a wide cab. Big nose, little wings!
