A Drippy Day In The Upper Columbia Basin--2026
Author: Ritzville

Today was a raw day with drippy rain in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 49-40 and .11 of rain. This will be an abbreviated day of pictures due to the weather and other activities. Traffic was so-so during today with a bevy of trains all through last night. There was also some work going on the line today. Here are some of the trains from yesterday late afternoon and today that ran thru the backyard.

1. EB 531pm oil train with BNSF 6202-9141 on the point with DPU.
2. WB 547pm grain train with BNSF 5203 and warbonnet 744 on the pull with DPU and a friendly toot-toot from the hogger.
3. BNSF 489368 GN heritage hopper rolling in same train.

As always Larry, love all your photos -- especially the fact that you do not hesitate to include photos of the trains, not just the locomotives.

Hope things are going well for you these days!
