A Nice Mostly Clear Blustery Day with Variety On The BNSF
Author: Ritzville

It was supposed to rain, but turned out mostly sunny and quite blustery with 35MPH winds. We had a high-low of 60-43 in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub. Here are some of the trains that passed by the backyard and beyond late yesterday afternoon and today. Had some more Big Blue sightings today.

1. EB 546pm manifest train with BNSF 6752, warbonnet 729 and BNSF 1035 on the point.
2. EB 620pm coal train with BNSF 5719, green and cream 97?8 and BNSF 6413 on the pull with DPU.
3. WB 644pm manifest train with BNSF 4478 and warbonnet 736 on the point.

Fredstoltz was in Ritzville today.   We also chased the 2041 down to the siding at Sprague.  Must have missed you on road.  Fred

I watched 2041 roll thru my backyard and saw that it was going in the hole at CP Tokio. I decided to drive over and take pictures at CP E. Tokio while it was parked in the hole. I guess I missed you somewhere on the road, LOL.

Larry,

I see there's a siding or two in town.  Are they used only for storage, or does regular switching go in in Ritzville?

Thanks for all the photos!

A little of all the above. BNSF stores work trains and equipment there from time to time. Farm equipment is delivered there at times. The most cars I've seen parked in the sidings at one time was about 65.
