Topock and Wellton AZ photos

A friend and I are on day 2 of our trip to California and AZ and had some great luck today, after spending the night in Needles CA. We started the day out with several BNSF at the Colorado River bridge, then made a bee-line south to Wellton AZ to shoot searchlights on the Sunset Rte. Great day!

1. WB at Topock AZ.

2. EB west of Topock approaching the bridge.

3. WB crossing the Colorado.

From the Wellton AZ area on the Sunset Route:


1. We weren't able to get this great WB consist at a signal but were lucky to get ahead of it for a sunny shot at a grade crossing west of Wellton.

2. Russ loves signals (I'm not opposed to them either) so we got this WB at one of the intermediates west of Wellton. It IS pretty cool seeing this old signal hardware and pole line still in service!
