Western Railroad Discussion > SP 107 leading on a rare branchline moveDate: 03/25/15 19:27 SP 107 leading on a rare branchline move Author: WrongWayMurphy In the piney woods of East Texas is an old I&GN (MOP) branch from the mainline
at Overton to end of track at Henderson. SP 107 was leading two ragtag UP jobs, pulling 96 empty GRR gons across the twisting an turning branch. Date: 03/25/15 19:31 Re: SP 107 leading on a rare branchline move Author: WrongWayMurphy I had to wonder which was rarer, the 107 AC4400 on a bolted rail dead end branch
or the llama in the East Texas oilfield. This oilfield was discovered in the early 1930's and pumpjacks everywhere are still producing 80 years later. Dad Joiner would be proud. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Texas_Oil_Field Date: 03/25/15 19:56 Re: SP 107 leading on a rare branchline move Author: weather Great catch and nice pics!
