was there not an article in I think Trains Mag covering this Sub? i think it was years ago but may i please ask for help in locating
the month and the mag it was published in? thx

The November 1988 issue of Trains covers the three legs of the BN Chicago Division that form a triangle over northern Illinois. The 2nd Sub was Aurora to Galeburg, the 3rd Sub was Aurora to Savanna, the 4th Sub was Savanna to Lacrosse, WI and the 5th Sub was Galesburg to Savanna. Today, the 2nd Sub is BNSF's Mendota Sub, the 3rd and 4th Subs are the Aurora Sub and the 5th Sub is the Barstow Sub.
