TaTa... Date: 04/01/15 16:54 Re: Crandic slug set moving with pics Author: PHall That's not an RC-135. That's an E-6B Mercury TACAMO aircraft.
The NAVY on the fuselage is a dead giveaway. The Navy doesn't have any RC-135's Date: 04/01/15 16:56 Re: Crandic slug set moving with pics Author: PHall Not sure if that CRANDIC slug has enough main reservoir capacity...

Date: 04/01/15 18:12 Re: Crandic slug set moving with pics Author: trkspd Here we go again, turned in for taking pictures.
We are supposed to report strange incidents, and to some of us people chasing and taking photos of our trains is strange. In today's age it doesn't hurt, and crews actually calling things in is better than the old attitude of the next guy will do it. We don't run trains for the sole purpose of being subjects of your photos. Based off of the 707-320 according to it's Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-6_Mercury Date: 04/01/15 18:37 Re: Crandic slug set moving with pics Author: pramer Date: 04/01/15 19:12 Re: Crandic slug set moving with pics Author: PHall pramer Wrote:

The Boeing E-6 Mercury (formerly E-6 Hermes) is an airborne command post and communications relay based on the Boeing 707-320. This is part of Crandic's replacement power program. These slug sets are being replaced by newer sets with the bloody nose, bloody awful if you ask me, paint scheme. Supposedly, the newer sets are more environmentally friendly. Nick Tharalson, Marion, IA Date: 04/02/15 08:19 Re: Crandic slug set moving with pics Author: jst3751 NormSchultze Wrote:

I will answer your question by saying to look at my question you are responding to. To clarify, it probably depends. If the OP was on RR property without permission that would be considered tresspassing and I am sure crews are told to report tresspassing and maybe that is what happened here. |
