Ferromex SD70ACe visits the Sharp and Provo Sub
Author: Utah5005

I got a heads up that there was a work train headed towards Provo on the Sharp sub today that had a Ferromex engine on it. So I headed out in search of the train and here a few of the pictures that I got. It is really rare to catch a Ferromex engine in Utah so I was not going to pass up this chance.

Photo 1: UP 4730 leads the WTUGJG around the bend at Rocky Ridge.

Photo 2: This picture didn't turn out like I wanted it to but I wanted to share it anyways since it has the front end and tail end in the picture.

Photo 3: Passing through Payson a quick shot of FXE 4077

At Provo the train entered the wye and then headed east on the Provo sub.

Photo 4: The train as it begins its journey east.

Photo 5: I really liked this box car and thought I would share it.

Photo 6: Last shot of the head end as it disappears.

Thanks for looking.

In  #5, you caught a "work train" boxcar. I wonder how old that car really is?

Great photos! Thanks for sharing.

With respect to the above question, I don't suppose you call the boxcar number. We could look it up pretty easily.
