Today was a warm and a bit humid in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 79-52 with .30 of rain with the windy thunderstorm yesterday. I had many activities today away from the backyard and mainline. I did manage to capture a few of the trains today and last evening. It was a busy morning with a so-so afternoon today.

1. WB 551pm manifest train with BNSF 5223 and Big Blue's GECX 2027-2034 on the point during the 40mph wind in the beginning of the thunderstorm.
2. Another shot of the Big Blue's during the wind and beginning rain.
3. WB 608pm oil train with BNSF 5160-8530 on the pull with DPU during the heavy rain.

4. WB 939am manifest train with BNSF 6096, NS 7671 and BNSF 7281 on the pull.
5. Another shot of NS 7671 on same train.
6. EB 238pm manifest train with BNSF 5244 on the very point at Bauman Rd., Ritzville with a friendly wave from the hogger.

7. Another shot of same train heading towards CP W. Tokio.
8. The End of same train fading away towards CP W. Tokio.
9. EB 350pm intermodal train with BNSF 4344-5519-5748 on the point.

10. WB 430pm grain train with BNSF 4375 on the very point with DPU's and a friendly wave from the conductor at Bauman Rd.
11. Same train about to knock down the high green at signal 641.
12. BNSF 486114 Burlington Route heritage hopper rolling in same train, thanks Ted!

The BNSF website says the big blues are going to the transcon shortly so enjoy them while you can....it also says BNSF has 161 of the Tier 4 units on order for later this year.   GE is making adjustments to them currently. I always look for your posts everyday, Larry.  I don't know how you get anything else done....it must be hard with all that good stuff in your backyard.

That's great Brian, some more people will be able to see them. I guess I'll be looking for the new BNSF tier 4's someday in the future. Taking all the pictures does take up lots of time. Getting backyard pictures is fairly easy, but when I'm busy, location shots are difficult. I just wish the backyard wasn't so cluttered as it is right now.
