Heads Up West of Tucson
Author: CLM

A little while ago, a west-bound oil can train passed through Tucson. It was getting dark but as far as I could tell the power was 5X2.  This is the first oil can train I have seen in Tucson; is this a re-routed train or a new addition to the Sunset route?

Are you sure it wasn't ethanol? They run ethanol trains via that routing on occasion.

I woulnt know how to tell one from the other. It was probably the ethanol train. The placards on the car looked red - but not positive about that either.

Most likely ethanol loads originating at Arkalon Energy just east of Liberal, KS going to West Colton.
