A 'boose is loose
Author: wjpyper

Former SP caboose #4734 has been hanging out at the Pringle Yard in south Salem, Oregon for years. It hasn't moved in months, maybe even years. When I drove by today I saw it coupled to the local switchers. Anybody know what is happening?

It hasn't been used as a shoving platform has it? I think the newness of the 4700 series SP cabooses make them popular for such use.

It may get used more than you think. When the Salem Switcher goes down to the Flavor-Pak warehouse or the box factory, they likely use the caboose.
