Quick question about UP stack trains.
Author: tx_trainman54

Anyone know if U.P runs any mostly deticated stack trains for China Shipping and Maersk or does BNSF have all that?

BNSF has the majority of Maersk, except for UPRR served only destinations like Salt Lake City and a few others.  Not sure about China Shipping these days.  I see their containers on UPRR intermodal trains as well, but could be UPRR served locations only, as well as use of the International 40' box in westbound Domestic service.

I've seen decent amounts of China Shipping on UP's ILBEW/IEWLB, ILBMN/IMNLB, ILXDI and IDILB (Houston, Marion-Memphis, Dallas). I haven't seen much Maersk on UP, but UP runs IDIPF from Dallas to Maersk's APM Terminal on Terminal Island.  I haven't seen one to verify it carries Maersk containers.  These days on BNSF it's rare to see an all-Maersk train, they are usually mixed with their P3 Alliance partners MSC (Mediterranean Shipping) and CMA CGM.
