Western Railroad Discussion > Depot Friday: Dakota City, NE...

This past week me & SCKP187 made a trip thru IA, NE, WY, CO & KS. Along the way we stopped in Dakota City, NE to shoot the C,MNStP&O depot that still stands there. Before heading to the depot & while I was taking a picture of the station sign we heard a northbound train approaching. After shooting the train we got our shots of the depot & headed on West.

Photo 2:   Although overgrown with weeds you can still see the old rails that ran by the depot.
